Parenting

Parenting a child is not an easy choice, and many women feel that they could benefit from some parenting support and education. If you choose to parent your child, Pregnancy Support Services can assist you in a number of ways. Our counselors can provide education on early childhood development, pregnancy care, infant stimulation and cognitive development, interpersonal relationships, personal growth, budgeting, and much more. We can also assist in locating childbirth classes, support groups, and other resources. Free pregnancy testing is available onsite or through referrals. Housing with a licensed, caring family may be provided during the pregnancy, depending on availability. The father of the baby can also be included in the counseling process, when appropriate. Your pregnancy support counselor can meet with you throughout your pregnancy and up to six months after the birth of your baby to help ensure that you are off to a good start.
